BENGAL CHESS ASSOCIATION collaborated with Acropolis Mall to organise Inter School Chess Tournament. The event was restricted to 80 school students only.
The tournament was held in a festive ambience with hundreds of shoppers pausing for a glimpse of chess action. This is the first time that an event of this scale has been held at the atrium of a shopping mall in Kolkata.
The top six positions in the final ranking were:

3. Rihansh Pandey
4. Khushal Bagri
5. Ananyo Mondal
6.Soumyadeep Nath
Laxmipath Singhania Academy was awarded the best overall perfomer among the Schools. St Xaviers and Calcutta Boys received the runner up and second runner up trophies respectively.
The Closing Ceremony was attended by Former National Champion Nisha Mohota, Former International Footballer, and Captain of East Bengal Club Anit Ghosh, the GM of Acropolis Mall K Vijayan apart from the CEO, President, Secretary and Vice Presidents of BCA.
