A One Day Rapid Tournament was held in Indian Institute of Technology. A total number of 210 players took part in the event.
Koushik Samui emerged winner after 7 rounds with 7 points. He was followed by a pack of 8 players with 6 points each. Baibhab Singh and Kalur Nikhil finished second and third respectively because of higher tie break.
The event was conducted by Master Mind Chess Academy in association with IIT Kharagpur. Vice Presidents of BCA Sabyasachi Tripathy and Amitabha Ghosh distributed the Prizes. Atanu Lahiri, CEO of BCA was the Chief Guest at the Closing Ceremony.
