An ONE DAY INVITATIONAL OPEN RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT, PASCHIM MEDINIPUR was successfully organized by BENGAL CHESS ASSOCIATION supported by TOWN COLONY RECREATION CLUB and MASTER MIND CHESS ACADEMY on 8th January, 2023.
A total of 116 candidate participated in said event and made this a great one on the occasion of BIRTH FESTIVAL OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA. Prizes are distributed in open category as well as in under 7, under 9, under 11, under 13, under 15, under 17 and senior citizen category. DEBAPRIYO SAHA of under 15 category secured the first position in open category.
Several un-authorized association had tried to stop this event in illegal ways by spreading rumors. National Instructor MR. SUBHAM SAHA, Tournament Director and Coordinator of BENGAL CHESS ASSOCIATION addressed all the parents and players that not to hear any fake news and participate in many tournaments as possible. Organizers also inspired players, guardian and all the outcomers by saying how chess can improve everyone’s lifestyle. Our vice president MR. AMITAVA GHOSH was also present during the prize distribution ceremony of the event.
