Kolaghat Chess Academy and Purba Medinipur Chess Association organized the 1st Anjan Bose Menmorial Chess Tournament at Kolaghat. Anjan Bose was a renowned chess coach and the Secretary of Howrah Chess Association.
A total number of 183 players participated in the event. 65 prizes were given away to the winners. Aryan Bandyopadhyay of Howrah emerged as the champion. He was followed by Sankhadeep Maity of Tamluk. Anisha Ghosh was adjudged the best female player while 4 year Udita Patra was the youngest participant.
