Antarip Roy, the Secretary of BCA, won the first position in the 1st Bhabna Memorial Chess Tournament in Durgapur which was held from 29th to 30th July 2023. Antarip scored 7.5 points in 8 rounds. He was followed by Samrat Sutar of SunShine Chess Academy and Ishaan Das, both on 6.5 points. Veteran Janardan Mukherjee secured 4th position along with Amit Prasad, Kanishk Sahu, Subham Mondal and Nirmal Soren scored 6 points each.
The event was held in memory of Lt. Bhabna Dasgupta, wife of the Vice President of BCA Tapan Dasgupta.
